Privacy Policy
Last updated: pending first release. This page mirrors the policy bundled inside the app.
This policy describes what VPN HAPP Proxy Monitor does and does not do with your information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no user profiles anywhere in it.
What the app stores on your device
The servers you add (“watches”), their check history, and any incidents the app records are stored locally on your device only, using Apple’s on-device data framework. This information is never uploaded anywhere as part of normal use, and deleting the app deletes it.
What the app sends to our service
To check whether a server you’ve added is reachable, the app sends that server’s connection details, along with a randomly generated identifier for your installation of the app, to our own cloud service, which performs the check and returns the result. This is the entire purpose of the app.
That identifier is not your name, email address, Apple ID, or any other form of account — it exists only so a result can find its way back to the check that requested it. Your connection details are used only to run the check you asked for and are not permanently stored by our service afterward.
We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
When you open the help page
The “Where to get the URL?” button opens a help page on this website in Safari. The address it opens carries a second randomly generated identifier — one for your device — so that we can measure how many people that page reaches. It reaches our web server in its request log and nowhere else, and we do not share it with other companies.
That identifier is a random value created on your device. It is not your name, email address, Apple ID, or any other form of account, and it is not the identifier described above. Unlike everything else the app keeps, it is stored in your device’s keychain, which means reinstalling the app returns the same value. Nothing about your servers, your watches, or your check history travels with it, and it is sent only when you tap that button.
In-app purchases
Proxy Monitor Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app does not collect, see, or store any payment information — that is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.
Advertising and tracking
The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising or analytics software development kits. The page-reach measurement described above is done from our own web server’s records, not by any software inside the app. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and requests no permission to do so.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.
Your choices
Because everything the app stores about your watches lives on your device, deleting a watch, clearing history, or deleting the app itself removes that information. Proxy Monitor Pro’s Restore Purchases feature reconnects your existing purchase to a new install; it does not restore deleted watch data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, the update will ship with the app version that introduces the change.
